Beginning Sewing Class for the Holidays!
Saturday Morning Sewing Class!

Classes will be taught by local designer Samira “Mira” Thompson are set for Dec. 8 and Dec. 22 at 9:30 a.m.
Samira “Mira” Thompson was born and raised in Washington D.C. Samira has always been passionate about the world of fashion. Even as early as the young age of 5, she would play dress up with her cousins.
At the age of 12, she would find herself consistently helping her mother cut out patterns for varies garments. Throughout the years, Samira started to develop her own techniques and took creating garments to a whole new level -- now she wasn't just cutting patterns but designing, imbuing any fabrics with a certain a glow. This creativity led to Samira designing garments for weddings, proms and other events, formal and informal.
In order to further her career, Samira decided to go to school to study the one thing she loved: Fashion. She earned her B.A. in fashion design from The Art Institute of New York City. Later she completed a certification in visual merchandising from Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Over the last three years, Samira has been teaching sewing classes, helping young women and men fall in love with something she has been in head over heels with since she can remember, FASHION!
