Its A New Year, New Goals!
What Are Some Goals You Want To Accomplish This Year?

This is the right time to look back at 2012 and learn from all the mistakes we made, and to come up with a list of goals for 2013.
According to USA.gov, here is the top list of goals people make:

Whatever personal goals we set for ourselves, ideally, they should be SMART:
Specific | Measurable | Achievable | Realistic | Timed |
They can be related to your work, personal life, or both.
Once you have set your personal objectives, you need to write them down. Research has shown that if goals are written down they are more likely to be achieved. Write a to-do list, put a note in your diary or put up a post it note on the wall. Conjure up a powerful image of you actually achieving your goal – you are more likely to achieve it.
The libraries have numerous books, audiobooks and DVDs to help you achieve your goals. The more you know, the easier the goal can be accomplished!
Here are a few of the many books for some of the most common goals:

P.S. -- If you share your goals with others who are looking to achieve the same thing or gaining peer support, bring them along with you. It can make a huge impact on your success rate. Try our yoga classes -- every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in our Large Meeting Room on the lower level of the library -- and bring a friend!
