Celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday!

The Cat in the Hat bookTheodor Seuss Geisel, known as Dr. Seuss to many, was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 2, 1904. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library will host two children's events to celebrate this revered children’s author and illustrator.

On Saturday, March 2, volunteers from Jumpstart will partner with the library for a program to include reading, crafts and games from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for all ages.

And on Thursday, March 7 during the Preschool storytime at 10 a.m., there will be a special visitor to help celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. We’re keeping it a secret so you have to come to find out.
