Spotlight on Databases: Legal Forms Online

We continue our series on library databases this month with Legal Forms Online.  This is a great, quick resource for District residents that I often tell people about.  Are you writing a will?  Renting out property?  Popular forms for individuals include those for Power of Attorney and Wills and Estates.  There are leases as well as forms for Landlord/Tenant issues.  Do you need to change your maiden/married name or apply for a marriage license?  You can download and print these forms with just a few clicks.

There are also forms for businesses. Browse sample form letters for employees and managers to get ideas for wording your own business correspondence.  Also check out forms for non-profits, franchises, and small businesses.  Find example proposals for construction companies and sample forms for attorneys.  Some forms are downloaded as PDFs, while others are MS Word documents that you can fill in and make edits to before printing.

Also, don’t forget that from our law database page, you can also link to the DC Code and the DC Municipal Code and DC Register online.  All of your District of Columbia Legal needs are in one easy place: online 24 hours a day through your DC library.
