Beneath the Surface: Albus Cavus - Graffiti Letters

Learn the history and various styles of stylized letter writing. Study various artistic forms of letter writing through analyzing images from classic typography to contemporary graffiti. Learn how to develop your own lettering style by learning outlining, fillings, shadowing and 3-D effects.

Ages 13-19.

ACAlbus Cavus is an international collective of artists and scientists who improve quality of urban life through arts and creativity. This goal is accomplished with community-based public art, participatory events, interactive environments and project-oriented education. “Beneath the Surface” workshops present innovative art techniques for exploring the world beneath the obvious and invisible to the bare eye.
