The Doctor Is In the House
(Doc McStuffins that is.)

This new addition to our collection of "easy readers" features the popular animated television character Doc McStuffins. The animated series is about a 6-year-old girl who has aspirations of being a doctor, like her mother. She speaks with, and heals stuffed animals and toys. The books end in a life lesson, for example: Using your "inside voice" -- so needed in the library.
When your child is ready to start reading, this is one possibility. This level one book uses rebus icons to help even the youngest readers, to read right along with you, resulting in reader confidence and success.
Reading aloud to your child is one of the tips we will discuss at the “Summer Starts Here” Saturday. Mark your calendars for June 8 at 10:30 a.m. and bring the whole family. We will discuss the joys and research behind Summer Reading Programs. Give your child a hand in in "Digging into Reading" ... Make your child a star this summer.
