Still Time to Join

Research continues to reinforce what librarians and teachers have long known: keeping children  reading throughout the summer is key to maintaining students' literacy skills while encouraging a lifetime love of books.  That is what our summer reading program Dig Into Reading -- for children 6 to 12 years, is all about. 

Research also shows that you are never too young to start, so we have Read With Me -- a special program for children birth to age five and their parent or caregiver.

Summer Reading ends on Aug. 24.  Ask for a copy of Underground Times -- an activity booklet, to complete in between checking out more books.
