Don't Let the Sun Go Down on You

Write a Review. Win a Kindle.

So these end of summer days have got you daydreaming. Perhaps in your sun-induced stupor, you have missed the fact that DCPL has been celebrating Adult Summer Reading.  We call it Groundbreaking Reads because reading spreads seeds of wisdom and, frankly, any effort to get all of Washington reading is truly an earthshaking act.  As part of this, we are collecting book reviews and giving away gifts.  If you loved the last book you read, or you loathed it, we want to know.

It's not too late to participate.  Just walk into the Popular Library, sign up for Groundbreaking Reads, and pick up your nifty free tote bag.  In fashionable library blue, it is beautiful and sturdy.  Perfect for shopping at the Farmer's Market, carrying your beach towel and sand pail, transporting your cool gadgets, and hauling home your latest stash of library books.

While you're there, don't forget to also pick up a review form, or submit your review online, using the form below.  Once submitted, you will be eligible to win a Kindle eReader.  Then just bask in the sunshine of the good deed done yourself.  Get bragging rights to having participated in DCPL's first ever Adult Summer Reading event.  Join in our end of summer celebration.  There's no down side to this!

So, to paraphrase His Eminence Sir Elton John, don't let the sun go down on you.  And the sun sets on this event on Aug. 24.
