November is National American Indian Heritage Month!

Get ready, the library is gearing up for National American Indian/Native American Heritage Month this November.Native American Tribe Map for the Contemporary United States

Because you live in or near Washington D.C., there are a ton of resources available for you to take advantage of!

The National Museum of the American Indian has a lot of fun and educational events that you can take advantage of throughout November. But that’s not all. there are other separate resources endorsed and supported by the Smithsonian Education website, which includes information about events taking place throughout November all over Washington, D.C.

Take advantage of these resources but don’t forget to stop by the library to see what else is available for you here. For example, we have plenty of books about Native Americans and their culture/crafts. At Bellevue, we will be having a Native American Craft and Story Time in November. Stop by and pick up a November calendar so that you don’t miss it!
