The Conference of the Birds

A Muslim Journeys Talk

The Conference of the BirdsDaniel Madigan
The Conference of the Birds is a 13th-century Persian poem in which a group of birds go in search of their king and soon find that nothing about their journey will be simple.

Join us on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. for a talk on this resonant text by Professor Daniel Madigan of Georgetown University, who will discuss specifically the role of God as Sovereign and Lover in the text.

This event is part of the Muslim Journeys program, and it is free and open to the public.
