November is Peanut Butter Lovers Month!
- Peanut butter was invented by George Washington Carver in the early 1900s?
- That peanuts are neither a “pea” or a “nut”, but a legume? They are high in protein, which the human body needs for energy, rebuilding muscle tissue, and many other things.
- That peanuts are native to South America?
Also be sure to come to our family programs celebrating peanut butter this month. On Nov. 14 at 3:30 p.m., we will be having a peanut butter-and-jelly themed story time where we will be making our own PB&J sandwiches to eat.
Then on Nov. 21 at 3:30 p.m., we will be making peanut butter cup-dipped apples and peanut butter cup caramel lattes for the adults.
This month, feel free to indulge in the sweet, savory treat that is peanut butter!
