Boy and girl examine artifact
In this Smithsonian Institution sponsored program, children will learn from primary resources about preserving family oral histories and objects. The history of segregation will be introduced through the story of Ruth and the Green Book by Calvin Ramsey.

While wearing white cotton gloves, students will explore authentic historical artifacts, record observations and determine a preservation plan. Participants will keep their gloves and activity book and be encouraged to go home and preserve their own family history!

For ages 8-11.

Since space to this program is limited, please call the library first to register.
