The Petworth Library is thrilled to share some new programs and events coming up in 2014.
To get you excited, here's a sneak peak at the new monthly Petworth book clubs that will be starting up this January:

Bibliophiles' Book Club (adult)
Jan. 6, 7:30 p.m.
A slightly off-beat book club for slightly off-beat people in their 20s and 30s. 
This month's book is Geek Love by Katherine Dunn.

Children's Book Club (ages 7-12)
Jan. 10, 4 p.m.
Fiction book club for chapter book readers. 
This month's book is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.

Environmental Book Club (adult)
Jan. 28, 7:30 p.m.
Read, learn, and discuss the controversial issue of the impact of human activity on our planet. 
Participants will decide on the first book selection during the meeting.

"You Can't Make This Up" Nonfiction Book Club (adult)
Jan. 15, 7:30 p.m.
Smart, well-written titles that you’ve been meaning to get around to reading. 
This month’s book is In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson.

Whodunnit Club (adult)
Jan. 23, 6:30 p.m.
Petworth’s new mystery book club. 
This month's book is The Likeness by Tana French.

All books are available to be placed on hold through the catalog links on this page and are also ready for check out at the Petworth Library.
