Celebrating Chinese New Year

On Jan. 31, the Petworth Children's department hosted a Chinese New Year celebration.

Attendees tried some Chinese sweets and fortune cookies as they made paper-bag dragon puppets and listened to Chinese New Year-themed stories and songs. We also discovered our Chinese horoscope animals and colored some "Year of the Horse"-themed lanterns and handouts for everyone to take home.

We had tons of fun, and we hope to see you next year!
