Herb Guggenheim
Every first Thursday at 7 p.m., listen to original works by area poets.

On Thursday, April 3, our featured poets will be Herb Guggenheim and Fred Pollack.

Herb Guggenheim was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Silver Spring, Md. His work has appeared in many magazines and anthologies, including the Beloit Poetry Journal, the Florida ReviewGargoyle, Poetry Quarterly and the Washington Review. His poem "Coats" was nominated for the Pushcart Prize in 2013. His book Sunset at the Hotel Mira Mar: New and Selected Poems was released by Infinity Publishing in 2011.
Fred Pollack
Fred Pollack is author of the narrative poems The Adventure and Happiness, both published by Story Line Press.  His work has appeared in Hudson ReviewSalmagundi, Poetry Salzburg Review, Magma (UK), Big Bridge, Hamilton Stone Review, BlazeVox, The New Hampshire Review, Mudlark, Occupoetry, Kalkion, and elsewhere.  He's an adjunct professor of creative writing at George Washington University. His poetics: "neither  navel-gazing mainstream nor academic pseudo-avant-garde."
