Fall Children's Schedule Adds Two New Programs

Lego Club and Pajama Movie Night Start in September

Legos and a monthly movie night top Tenley-Friendship Library's new fall schedule starting September 1. Here is a look. 

Lego Construction Crew (Ages 6-12)
Wednesdays at 4 p.m.
We supply the Legos, you bring your imagination.

Pajama Movie Night (All ages)
Second Thursdays of the month at 6:00 p.m. Food, pillows, blankets, and PJs are welcome. 
  • Sept. 11 - Emmet, an ordinary Lego construction worker, may be the key to saving his world from the Kragle. View trailer
  • Oct. 9 - Gru, a super-villain, his three adopted daughters, and hoards of minions try to stop Vector from stealing the moon. View trailer.

Explorer’s Club (Ages 6-12)
First Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m.
Explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math with hands-on experiments, crafts.

In the Zone (Ages 6-12)
Third Tuesdays of the month at 4 p.m.
Enjoy games, crafts, and other fun.

  • Dec. 20, 2 p.m. -  Winter Wonderland
Baby Lap Time (Non-walkers)
Wednesdays at 11 a.m.
Stories, songs, rhymes, bounces, and tickles for non-walkers and their caregivers. Registration is required each week. To register, please email tenleylibrary@dc.gov.
Wonderful Ones & Twos (Walkers to 2 years)
Wednesdays at 12 p.m.
Fridays 11:30 a.m.
A fun, interactive story time that encourages early language and literacy skills through stories, songs, and rhymes. Registration is required each week. To register, please email tenleylibrary@dc.gov.
Preschool Story Time (Ages 3-5 years)
Fridays at 10:30 a.m. 
This story time helps children with literacy skills through reading stories, singing songs, learning new rhymes and honing visual literacy skills. 
Pajama Story Time (All ages)
Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
End your evening with some books and fun at this drop-in story time.
Family Story Time (All ages)
Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. 
Start off your weekend with a family story time filled with songs, rhymes, and good books.
Story Break (All ages)
Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
A short story time: a couple books, a couple songs. A nice break!
