Pollyanna The last installment of the Silent Films Series at the Hill Center is here! Southeast Library will be showing the 1920's film Pollyanna, based on the 1913 bestselling novel of the same name by Elenor H. Porter (available at DCPL as an e-book, audiobook and in good old-fashioned print!).  Another film adaptation of the book was made in 1960 starring Hayley Mills and is also available at DCPL for checkout.  Join us on Thursday, August 28 at the Hill Center where we'll be watching the silent silm adaptation of the novel and you can continue to grow in your knowledge of the orphaned girl sent to live with her aunt and who, despite hardships, maintains a positive outlook and inspires others.
