Chevy Chase Library

The Chevy Chase Library received a makeover in February 2016.
Work focused on the first floor and included the following:
- New flooring
- Fresh paint
- New furniture including tables, chairs and lounge seating
- New combined information & check out desk with an Express Check Out machine
- New seating area by windows to take advantage of natural light
- Power outlets at all reader tables for customers to plug in
- Designated stroller parking
- New display spaces and fixtures
- Space for on-going Friends book sale items
- Computers, copiers and express computers consolidated in a single area for better service
- Larger and more welcoming Teen Space featuring four MAC computers and additional seating
The budget for this project was approximately $650,000.
