Children's Book Club

"There was only orange juice in the fridge. Nothing else that you could put on cereal, unless you think that ketchup or mayonnaise or pickle juice would be nice on Toastios..."

This is how Neil Gaiman's novel Fortunately the Milk begins. From here, the novel leaves the mundane and becomes an adventure involving time travel, pirates and dinosaurs. The book is filled with excitement and illustrations that are sure to engage children.

Children ages 8-13 are invited to join us at 3 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 27 at the Northwest One Neighborhood Library for a discussion of Fortunately the Milk. Copies of Fortunately the Milk are on display in the children's section and are available for checkout.
