History

The Benjamin Franklin University was organized and incorporated in 1925 to succeed Pace Institute in Washington. It was designed to continue the Pace courses, which have been offered in the city since 1907. It was the only school in Washington conducting the Pace courses in Accountancy and Business Administration. The University was authorized to confer academic degrees for undergraduate and post-graduate work.
