Criteria, pitfalls and hints for successful grant proposal writing

grants2Periodically, residents need financial support in order to fund special programs or community projects. Funding is often available from governments, corporations, foundations and private donors.  

Experts concede that grant seekers can successfully obtain the necessary skills that will  better their chances of securing monetary support.

Are you interested in learning how to identify and apply for grants?  If so, you must come out on Tuesday, Oct. 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m., to hear Dawn Mabery, CEO of Mabery Counsulting, LLC. 

For more than 15 years, Ms. Mabery has provided grant instruction that includes program evaluation, research, writing, reporting and grant management. A graduate of Spelman College, Ms. Mabery has worked in a variety of non-profit leadership roles.  Previously, she served as a board member of the Campaign for Community Change, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to building the power and capacity of low-income people.
