'The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears' Presentation and Discussion

To celebrate and explore this year's DC Reads selection, The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears by Dinaw Mengestu, The Takoma Park Neighborhood Library is hosting a presentation and discussion on the Washington, D.C.-set novel, along with some samples of Ethiopian food kindly donated by the Nile Market and Kitchen and the Friends of the Takoma Park Library! 
 
George Washington University's Aaron Hamburger will talk about the various strategies Mengestu uses to convey a sense of the Logan Circle neighborhood and the changes going on in it, followed by a discussion considering how these changes are continuing to happen in this area and others in the city.
