Thursday Evening Poetry Readings

The last of the Thursday evening readings for 2014

Please bring your own poems to read, and join us Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. as we gather for the last of the Thursday evening readings at the Georgetown Neighborhood Library for 2014.

Our featured poets are the well-known Richard Peabody and Donald Illich. 

Richard Peabody is a French toast addict and native Washingtonian. His latest books are Speed Enforced by Aircraft (Broadkill River Press) and Blue Suburban Skies (Mint Hill Books).

He won the Beyond the Margins "Above & Beyond Award" for 2013. He has edited Gargoyle Magazine since back before Elvis died.

Donald Illich has published work in The Iowa Review, Fourteen Hills, Rattle, Sixth Finch, and many other journals. He has been nominated four times for a Pushcart Prize and was a semifinalist for the Discovery Prize. 

He lives in Rockville where he works as a writer for the federal government.
