Martin Luther King Jr. ASL Story Time
Celebrate MLK Day this year with a special story time
Celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with Adaptive Services and People Animals Love here at the Tenley Library. Deaf Services Librarian Janice Rosen will be hosting a special story time in American Sign Language for ages 3 to 5 featuring books showcasing the life and ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
A sign language interpreter will interpret Ms. Rosen’s reading. Afterward, children are welcome to meet and read with therapy dogs from People Animals Love (PAL).
This program will take place Monday, Jan. 12 at 12:30 p.m., a week before Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 19 this year). Here is some recommended reading for you and your child to take home yourself and read about this great civil rights leader.
