Libraries = Larger than Life Fun
What are we going to do next?
The months of January and February have seen exciting events here at Petworth Library.
In January, we hosted a winter themed event where we watched several beloved Disney movies and enjoyed some snacks. Who said that winter leaves you only feeling frozen? The best part was when several members of our young audience got up to sing; some who particpated in the Karoke portion of our pogram were a little shy - but when it came to time to win a special prize at the end of evening, everyone chimed in!
After all, who can resist fun facts like these:
But we didn't settle for any old board game, but created a life sized board of our own on which children and parents could play in our meeting room. If you happened to walk through our doors that day, you were greeted with a virtual menagerie of delicous game board pieces - from Princess Lollipop's candy filled sancutary to King Candy's Giant Castle, each step of the way guaranteed a sweet time!
So what will March bring? It's a little hard to top these great events but I'm sure the library will think of something. From Teen Tech Week to Women's History Month, the children's room is sure to have something fabulous planned that will exceed your fancy!
Looking for a little adventure? Why not try these books?

- Everyone's favorite snowman Olaf is the only snowman we know who enjoys warm hugs (Wait, isn't there Frosty the Snowman?)
