Easter Egg Decoration

Friday, April 3 at 4 p.m.

Come and join us for Easter egg decoration on Friday, April 3 at 4 p.m. and learn about when and where the tradition started.

Did you know that the Macedonians were the first Christians on record to use eggs in connection with Easter? Children brought all the eggs they could find, dyed them, and sold them in the marketplace. Most of the Macedonians eggs were red, though a few were dyed yellow and green.

In many parts of the world, Easter is time for races of all kinds.

Try the old custom of Easter-racing with your friends! You each hold a spoon and balance an egg on the end. Then you race to see who can reach the finish line without dropping the egg!

This craft is for children of all ages. After the egg decorating, the children will have a chance to race with their egg on a spoon.

May the best runner win!
