Open Your Ears to Musical Treasures

Listen to music newly added to National Recording Registry

The Library of Congress and Librarian of Congress James H. Billington added a number of new recordings to the National Recording Registry.

Every year, the Librarian of Congress is charged with picking 25 recordings that are "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

There's a range of auditory goodies, from blues to Broadway to folk to jazz -- and even songs to give you that "lovin feeling." And you can listen to many of this year's honorees for free, from the comfort of your computer, with Freegal and your library card!

Stream them all or download your three favorite tracks immediately.

Here's a selection of this year's honorees that you can listen to right now, from Freegal. (You can find out more about all the honorees on the Library of Congress's website.)
