Wild Washington! With Nancy Arbuthnot

A poetic tour of Washington, D.C.

To celebrate National Poetry Month, the Takoma Park Neighborhood Library is hosting local poet Nancy Arbuthnot, on hand to read from her book, Wild Washington: Animal Sculptures A to Z/ Poems

Wild Washington features many of the extraordinary animal sculptures spread throughout Washington, D.C., from the dragon perched above Georgetown University's Healy Hall to the unicorn in Rock Creek Park. Each sculpture is accompanied by a fun poem and a wonderful illustration by Cathy Abramson, with a little history thrown in for good measure.

The fun begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22.
