Rita Hayworth is 'Gilda'

On June 9, at 6 p.m., join us for our Movie of the Month, as we screen Charles Vidor's film noir jewel, Gilda.

Released in 1946, the film stars Rita Hayworth as the headstrong vamp, Glenn Ford as the clever drifter, and George Macready as the absent, but controlling husband.

An Argentinian casino boss rescues a small time hood and assigns him to keep tabs on his wife, a singer at the club.  The young drifter is shocked to learn that she's his old flame and suffers her contempt, until their relationship flames out of control.

Hayworth glitters in black and white, cementing her place as a Hollywood screen goddess in this, her signature and most unforgettable role.
