Programs for Children and Teens at MLK!

Start September with new and improved programs

September brings many new and exciting changes to children's and teen programming at MLK Library! Please refer to our story time flyer for a description of the story times and the date and time for each. We have added a new pajama story time at 7 p.m. on Mondays! Our first pajama story time will be on Monday, September 14. In addition to changing our story times, we have also added the following programs:

Collection Crafts, featuring crafts based on books in our collection, at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays at Teen Space. Our first Collections Craft on Tuesday, Sept. 8, will feature drawing manga and a manga contest.

We will now be participating in Portrait Story days at the National Portrait Gallery on Saturdays at 1 p.m.! Please join us as we read stories about historical figures at the National Portrait Gallery. Our first portrait story day on Saturday, Sept. 5, will feature stories about Davy Crockett.

On Thursdays at 4 p.m. in the Teen Space, we will have Skill Building activities. Our first one is on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 4 p.m. and it will be a resume workshop.

And don't forget we will still have our STEAM activities on Sundays at 2 p.m.! We have added two new activities on Sundays at 2 p.m., our Book Share and our Lego Club.

We hope to see you at our programs!
