Zaytinya, Jack Rose Dining Saloon and Mockingbird Hill Participating in Library Celebration

Can’t wait to try banned-book themed cocktails at the DC Public Library’s UNCENSORED Opening Night? This year, you can try a limited number of the beverages at local restaurants leading up to the September 25 event.

Zaytinya, Jack Rose Dining Saloon and Mockingbird Hill are featuring banned-book themed cocktails leading up to the September 25 event at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library.

UNCENSORED Opening Night is a DC Public Library Foundation event that raises funds to support Library programs like the District of Change lecture series and the Our City Festival as well as the work of local artists and D.C.’s burgeoning arts and culture scene.

The party will feature signature cocktails inspired by local mixologists’ favorite banned books, including Adam Bernbach of 2 Birds 1 Stone; Phil Clark from Mockingbird Hill; Trevor Frye from Jack Rose Dining Saloon; Chris Libby from Zaytinya; Duane Sylvestre from Collectif 1806; Chantal Tseng from Redeye Menus; and Philip Greene, Author, “To Have and Have Another - A Hemingway Cocktail Companion” and Brand Ambassador for Hemingway Rum Co., Papa's Pilar Rums. The opening night party will also feature live music and provocative artwork from local artists.
