All Aunt Hagar's Children
Do you enjoy reading about hometown Washington, D.C.? The Cleveland Park Library has a local book discussion series!
To celebrate this year's D.C. Reads, we will be discussing All Aunt Hagar's Children by Edward P. Jones at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 1. The book is a collection of fourteen short stories about African-American life in 20th century Washington. The experiences of the characters illustrate what life has become for them, whether they are lifelong city residents or newcomers from the deep South.
Copies of the novel are available to check out or download from the library.
This program is part of the D.C. Reads series of events. For more information about the series, please visit dclibrary.org/dcreads.
