Library to undergo upgrades and improvements
The Shepherd Park (Juanita E. Thornton) Library will undergo a makeover project in the fall and winter of 2015-2016. The project is expected to take approximately four months. The library will close for at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015. It will re-open at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
The nearest library is Takoma Park Library at 416 Cedar St. NW. Holds will be routed there while the Shepherd Park Library is closed
Interior work will be done primarily on the first and second floors, with minor work in one room on the lower level. Exterior work will be confined to roof work and drainage issues. You can find more detailed information about the work here.
