Citizen King: Film & Discussion with the William O. Lockridge/ Bellevue Library

Saturday, January 16, 2016 12 p.m- 2:30 p.m.

Unite with the William O. Lockridge/ Bellevue Library as we celebrate the incredible history of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a film and discussion.  Citizen KING concentrates on the King of the poor and the King that was an outspoken opponent of the war in Vietnam.   Diaries, letters, and eyewitness accounts of fellow activists, political leaders, friends and religious leaders help tell a story of King’s perseverance, and his remarkable impact.  Let us reflect on the work that King dedicated his life to and share memories, ask questions and seek hopeful solutions to the injustice that continues to reside in our world.

The Dream never dies…

Refreshments will be served.
