This winter the&nbsp;DC Public Library, <a href="https://www.dcfamily.com/" title="Jr Wizards">Washington Wizards</a>, <a href="https://alexlibraryva.org/" title="Alexandria Library">Alexandria Library</a> and <a href="https://www.pgcmls.info/" title="Prince George's County Memorial Library System">Prince George's County Memorial Library System</a>&nbsp;invite&nbsp;your family to stay active and engaged with Winter Challenge! From, Jan. 1 - Mar. 31 school-aged children and teens (Ages 5-19) can sign up and earn badges that encourage reading for pleasure, joining interactive&nbsp;virtual events, sharing and connecting with the library community and finding fun ways to be physically active.&nbsp;Winter Challenge is a great way to find healthy habits that your family will&nbsp;love and can add to your routine all year round.

If you have&nbsp;participated in past reading programs, you can log in to your account with your username and password. Make sure your email is up to date&nbsp;as that is how the library and the Wizards will&nbsp;notify&nbsp;you about prizes. <img alt="Earn Badges" src="https://www.dclibrary.org/sites/default/files/Register%20(4).png" style="float:left; margin:0px 15px" />Once you have signed up for Winter Challenge you can begin earning badges in <a href="https://dclibrary.beanstack.org/reader365" title="DC Public Library Beanstack">Beanstack</a> or by using your <a href="https://www.dclibrary.org/sites/default/files/FINAL%20-%20Winter%20Challenge%20Gameboard.pdf" title="Printable Winter Challenge Gameboard">paper gameboard</a>! There are badges&nbsp;for adding reading to your routine, finding fun ways to stay physically active, attending great virtual events and even simply connecting with the library community! Every badge you earn&nbsp;puts you one step closer to winning prizes from the Washington Wizards.

<h3 class="rteleft">Win Prizes</h3>

Earn the reading badge and at least two other badges to complete the challenge. Then starting Monday, Mar. 15 - Friday, Apr. 9 you can visit your neighborhood library to collect a completion prize from the Washington Wizards! (While supplies last.) You will also be entered into a Thursday, Apr. 1&nbsp;raffle drawing to win special grand prizes like jerseys and exclusive digital experiences.&nbsp;
