I See You

Join us throughout January for a mini spy camp adventure!

Delving into the world of spies illustrates only a small amount of the capers, hi-jinks and danger that goes on behind the scenes of famous events throughout history. With the International Spy Museum in the Washington DC area is it any wonder that this topic is so popular?

Join us throughout the month of January as we host a variety of programs that will help you learn about what makes a spy! We will have a variety of games, activities and crafts to promote this topic. It will be fun to don your best disguise, practice your best stealth moves, and show off your best hacking skills; only then can you declare yourself as a spy worthy of the company of the likes of James Armistead Lafayette, Virginia Hall, or even Cher Ami.

Join us on Mondays throughout January for spy related games:
Monday the 4th - Parachute Adventure
Monday the 11th - 20 Questions
Monday the 25th - Build Your Own Lego Maze
* Please note that our games this month are part of a special event but that our normal Fun & Games event held every Monday will resume in February.

Join us on Thursday throughout January for spy related crafts and activities:
Thursday the 7th - A Spy Movie
Thursday the 14th - How to Make Invisible Ink
Thursday the 21st - How to Make Your Own Faux Binoculars
Thursday the 28th - Make Your Own Spy Kit

On other days, spy related books, puzzles or coloring sheets may be on hand but you have to come to find out. Don't forget your trench coat and glasses but most importantly don't forget to come for these spectacular events!

No registration is needed and materials will be supplied for crafts. Children must be 7 or older in order to participate in the crafts. Please contact petworthlibrary@dc.gov or 202-645-8337 if you have questions.
