Tech Talk Tuesdays

Tech Talk Tuesdays take place on the first, second, third and fourth Tuesdays of the month, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in room 103 at the Library Express branch of the DC Public Library at 1990 K Street NW (entrance between 19th St. and 20th St.) This meet-up is an opportunity for assistive technology users to get together and share information on specific topics. If you need accommodation including American Sign Language interpretation, please let us know as soon as possible.  Please contact us at 202-727-2142 or lbph.dcpl@dc.gov.  Our accommodation statement is available online.

First Tuesdays
The first Tuesday, we feature iOS and Android accessibility training using screen reader, Zoom magnification and accessible apps.  iPad, iTouch and Android devices are available for people to use on a first-come, first served basis. Please feel free to bring your own devices. We try to fit the format of the meeting to suit the needs of the people who show up, so if you are a beginner, we will try to get you one-on-one hands-on training, and if you have intermediate skills, we will try to put you in a group with experts.

Second Tuesdays
The second Tuesday is a drop-in clinic. Bring your projects related to employment, entrepreneurship and assistive technology, and get help from the librarian or volunteers on a one-on-one basis as much as possible.

Third Tuesdays
The third Tuesday is a drop-in clinic. Bring your projects related to employment, entrepreneurship and assistive technology, and get help from the librarian or volunteers on a one-on-one basis as much as possible.

The fourth Tuesday evening is Game Night for blind and low-vision gamers. All games are adapted for the vision-impaired with Braille and large print. Gaming is a fun and interactive way to promote knowledge, literacy and community. The event is open to all ages. Games include:
