Library-Con: Anime, Comics, Manga, and Beyond

Join us for Petworth’s annual Library-Con!  This event is a multi-generational program that will provide information and expose the world of anime/manga, comics, Star Wars, and more to the DC community. We will have special offerings such as a door prizes for children and a free raffle for teens and adults. Cosplay/costumes are welcome!

Time: 1 - 5 p.m.
For All Ages


Come out and connect with the community through culturally based activities such as:
  • Workshops including zine creation, writing comics and graphic novels, and cosplay creation 
  • Author talks, including Maurice Butler, Lindsay Smith, Jacqueline Jules, Betsy Kraft, and Kem Sawyer
  • A special story time with fairy tale characters and a craft
  • A makerspace featuring 3-D printing
  • Presentations on anime and manga, including by the D.C. Anime Club
  • Fandom presentations, featuring D.C. Quidditch Group and Star Wars Re-enactors
  • And much more!
Parking:
There is a limited amount of parking in the Petworth Neighborhood Library parking lot.  Additional parking is available on Iowa Avenue NW. The Petworth Neighborhood Library is also in walking distance of the Georgia Ave./Petworth Metro station.
