Queer Brown Voices is a collection of narratives of Latina/o LGBT activism from the 1970s - 1990s by those who were there.
Join us for a discussion featuring activists on the front lines then and now:
Letitia Gomez - Co-editor of Queer Brown Voices, Co-founder and Executive Director of LLEGÓ, the first national Latina/o LGBT organization.
José Gutierrez - Co-founder and board member of the Rainbow History Project, Founder of the Latino LGBT History Project and DC Latino Pride.
Salvador Vidal-Ortiz - Co-editor of Queer Brown Voices, Associate Professor of Sociology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, American University.
Moisés Agosto Rosario - Director of Treatment Education Adherence and Mobilization, National Minority AIDS Council; member of the 80s generation of poets of Puerto Rico.
Moderated by Lisbeth Melendez Rivera, Director of Latina/o and Catholic Initiatives, Human Rights Campaign.
