This 2.5 hour combo presentation of the “Mini-Social Media Boot Camp” will focus on helping you learn what social media is, how to use it effectively in your business, and how to do more with social media in less time!

Registration is limited to 12 participants and workstations will be assigned to registered participants first. Walk-in participants are welcome and all participants can feel free to bring their tablets or laptops.

In the "Mini-Social Media Boot Camp," you will learn about Facebook Business Pages and Twitter and how to get started using them today. The Boot Camp will give you everything you need to get started in the emerging world of business social media networking.

Topics include:
  •     Discussing what social media is
  •     Reviewing the most popular social networks and their effectiveness
  •     Choosing which social network is best for you
  •     Setting up your social media profiles
  •     Building your social media footprint with a Facebook business page and a Twitter account
The goal of this dual presentation is to take you beyond the “what is it” phase of social media and to put social media to work for you. Join us and learn the latest time savers and best practices of social networking!

Presenter:

Romona Foster is a highly endorsed social media trainer and consultant teaching professionals how to leverage and brand their businesses through the use of social media.  She is an engaging speaker who is passionate about all things related to social media marketing.  She trains groups and individuals on how to use LinkedIn, how to market on Facebook, all about Twitter, Instagram, and the best practices of Email Marketing.  In addition, she serves as Social Media Director for Black Educational Events/HBCU Today and manages social media accounts for a number of small businesses and nonprofits.
 
She was listed as one of the “best in tech” at DC Web Women’s Code(Her) Conference.
