Finding Legal Information and Legal Help On-Line at DCPL

Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, 10 a.m.

Many Americans turn to the internet when faced with trying to solve a legal problem or finding a lawyer.  Ensuring that low-income residents have easy access to legal information has long been a priority for public interest lawyers in the District of Columbia.  To that end, we have developed many online resources to help our client community identify legal issues, learn more about their rights and access free, legal assistance. Join Neighborhood Legal Services to learn how to use the internet to find:

  •  Information and resources available on DC court websites
  • Websites that provide "know your rights" and substantive legal information for laypeople
  • Legal information sites for non-English speakers
  • Legal information, forms and resources available on the DCPL website
  • Resource and referral information for free, pro bono or low-bono assistance for D.C. residents
