Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Published in 1937 during the Great Depression, Think and Grow Rich is one of the top-ten personal development and self-improvement books that has stood the test of time. It’s based on 20 years of study of the lives of many successful individuals, such as Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and other millionaires. Hill then developed the “Law of Success” philosophy based on 13 principles to be mastered to achieve excellence for any line of work. Think and Grow Rich is often referred to as the “Granddaddy of All Motivational Literature.”

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle
The New York Times called Eckhart Tolle “the most popular spiritual author in the nation,” and Oprah Winfrey believes he is the prophet of our time. Without a doubt, Tolle is a superb spiritual teacher who has the ability to explain complicated ideas in a simple way. If you ever wondered what exactly “living in the now” means, The Power of Now is an excellent book for you, a book that guides you to find genuine peace and happiness in the present moment.  “To make the journey into the Now,” Tolle writes, “we will need to leave our analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind.” This is a book to keep next to your bed or desk, which you can pick up whenever the need to let go of the past or future arises in you.

Man’s Search for Meaning by Victor E. Frankl
In Man’s Search for Meaning, Viktor Frankl, a prominent psychiatrist, neurologist and a Holocaust survivor, writes about his experiences as an inmate in four concentration camps during World War II, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife were killed. Based on his own experiences and that of others in the Nazi death camps whom he later treated, he developed the psychotherapeutic method called logotherapy. As opposed to Freud, who argued that the main drive for the living was pleasure, Frankl believes that it is meaning. “If there is meaning in life at all,” Frankl writes, “then there must be meaning in suffering." In 1991, the Library of Congress and Book-of-the-Month Club listed Man's Search for Meaning as one of the 10 most influential books in the United States.
