Darnell Martin's adaptation of Zora Neale Hurston's classic novel Their Eyes Were Watching God stars Halle Berry as Janie and Michael Ely as Tea Cake. Oprah Winfrey produced and sponsored this adaptation, which also featured a screenplay co-written by Suzan-Lori Parks, the first African-American Pulitzer Prize winning playwright. Starring Halle Barry, Micahel Ealy, Ruby Dee and Terrence Howard. Unrated, but contains adult material. 113 minutes.
