Ribbon Interface Basics in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

In this 1.5-hour training, you will explore and navigate the common and unique features of the Ribbon Interface in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  

Seats are limited to 12 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive a half-hour early to sign in for a seat at one of the 12 workstations.

Required Skills: The ability to read and comprehend English well.  Basic computer and mouse navigation skills.

Your will learn to:
  • Identify basic Ribbon Interface components, e.g. command tabs/groups/buttons, galleries, etc.
  • Navigate the Ribbon using the mouse and the alpha/numeric keyboard shortcuts
  • Manipulate the Ribbon Display Options
  • Explore the Quick Access Toolbar, adding and deleting features
  • Explore the File/Backstage Menu Options
  • Explore the Formula Tool Bar in Excel
  • Explore various Contextual Tabs, i.e., Tables, Pictures, Drawing
