A Mt. Pleasant Library Volunteer

Hootie is a PAL volunteer and visits the Mt. Pleasant Neighborhood Library when he can.

Here are 10 fun facts about Hootie:
 
  1. Hootie is a standard poodle, the largest-sized poodle. 
  2. Hootie was adopted by his family in 2011 when he was about 2 years old.
  3. Hootie lived with other dogs on a farm outside Richmond, Virginia, before he was adopted.
  4. Hootie loves children, grownups and other dogs.
  5. Hootie, like other poodles, doesn’t shed.
  6. Hootie’s ancestors were originally water dogs from Germany and France who retrieved birds.
  7. Hootie needs a haircut every six weeks. 
  8. Hootie loves the beach.
  9. Hootie likes to play with puppies.
  10. Hootie's two favorite foods are sweet potatoes and carrots.
