Governance for the Future

Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, 2 p.m.

We live in a time when rifts between individuals, communities and political parties seem greater than ever. But our fear and concern can be a source of strength when it drives us to take action. How we take action shapes the future.

You are invited to join staff at the Georgetown Neighborhood Library on Sunday, January 14 for a program with the Library’s Labs:  Governance for the Future. Designed by the Institute for the Future, a California-based nonprofit, the format has been used to lead real change in states and cities around the country. During this two-hour lab, we will collaboratively answer a series of questions leading toward new possibilities for government in the future. This is a nonpartisan program, a chance to move beyond venting and to begin to hash out our own ideas in the company of other engaged and concerned citizens.

This event will take place on Jan. 14 from 2-4 p.m. at Georgetown Neighborhood Library in the Downstairs Meeting Room.
