Lecture and Discussion: "Macbeth"

Wednesday, March 28, 2018, 6:30 p.m.

The West End Library Friends present "Women against Power and Women of Power," a series of discussions led by Ori Z. Soltes, professorial lecturer in the department of theology at Georgetown University. The second installment will feature a lecture on Shakespeare's Macbeth.

Copies will be available for checkout at the library.

In Shakespeare's Macbeth Lady Macbeth is the proof that power can corrupt regardless of the gender of the powerful. She is also one of the first western literary examples of destruction meted out not by fate or gods (or God) but by self-inflicted guilt.
