Saving Family Treasures: Personal Archiving Workshop with the dc1968 project

Are you interested in preserving family treasures? Special Collections staff, in collaboration with Dr. Marya Annette McQuirter of the dc1968 project, will lead a two-hour workshop on preserving digital and physical personal archives, including photos, letters, newspapers and other material objects. Participants will receive information and supplies that will help them maintain their family records. This program is in support of the DC Public Library People's University programming initiative.

The DC Public Library seeks to foster understanding and appreciation of what makes D.C. unique by connecting residents to the District’s past and present, as well as providing access to experiences that support local history and culture.
