Leif A. Dormsjo is Senior Vice President for Infrastructure Asset Management for Louis Berger. He served as the Director of the District Department of Transportation and an Alternate Member of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Board of Directors. Serving as a member of Mayor Muriel Bowser’s cabinet, Dormsjo was responsible for the launch of the DC Streetcar and the construction procurement of the South Capitol Street Bridge project.
 
Prior to joining the Bowser administration, Dormsjo was the Deputy Secretary for the Maryland Department of Transportation. He has also served as the Chief of Staff for the Baltimore Department of Transportation.
 
Dormsjo has been on various boards and commissions. He represented the District of Columbia on the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation Board of Directors. He was also a member of the Amtrak Northeast Corridor Commission, the B&O Museum Board of Trustees and the Maryland Economic Development Board of Directors.
 
Dormsjo received a B.A. in Modern European History from Wesleyan University and a M.P.P. in Transportation, Housing and Urban Redevelopment from Harvard’s Kennedy School. He enjoys hiking as well as butterfly and moth collections.
