Join us to learn about the hidden history of Tenleytown. Local historian David Rotenstein will present an illustrated lecture on the historic African-American hamlets and neighborhoods in the Tenleytown area that developed along the DC-MD border in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Dr. David Rotenstein is a local historian who has researched the Washington Metro area extensively. A former Montgomery County Historic Preservation Commission chair and public history consultant, Dr. Rotenstein has written on gentrification, industrial history and housing in the District and Montgomery County.
